you would like a sailing holiday but do not have the experience to
take a boat out on your own, we can arrange for you to have a skipper
aboard a private sailing yacht of your choice. A skippered sailing
holiday is also ideal for anyone who would like to learn how to sail,
the rules of the road, navigation, etc. Your skipper will be your
tutor and instructor, and by the time your holiday is over, you will
probably have enough confidence to join a flotilla the following year.
Together you will plan your route and discuss your preferences. We
have no doubt that you will find our skippers to be friendly, hospitable
and welcoming. At the same time, they can be discreet and will allow
you to maintain your privacy.

Skipper - Rebecca Law
I am an RYA Cruising Instructor with commercially endorsed Yacht Master looking for freelance instructing or skippering work this summer. I will be based around Lefkada, Greece but will be able to travel for work. For the last five years I have been working and sailing around the Ionian Islands in Greece, I have a really great knowledge of the area and know all the bays and the best days and times to visit places to avoid the crowds. I am confident to take out yachts with complete beginners and I am good at staying clam in high pressure situations to ensure the guests and the boats are safe. I am also happy to work with a flotilla crew as the skipper or as a host if required. I am versatile and can fit into almost any situation. I can do sail repairs and rope work, varnishing and cleaning to a high level.
I have experience of a wide range of yachts and catamarans up to 50 feet and would be happy to work on either.
Last year I was in charge of turnaround days and yacht checks. I was also involved in preparing port papers, greeting guests and making bookings. This is another area I would be able to assist in if required.
My partner Andy is also working freelance this year so if you ever have a situation where you require two skippers or a skipper and host we would be happy to work together and to share a cabin.

They should bring back memories to warm many cold winters after their trip and come back again sailing with their friends" Captain Akis is one of the best-known faces around the Aegean. He is a dedicated and fun captain who has explored all the best places in the Aegean sea and beyond. Akis takes the time to get to know his guests as he is a personable, warm guy and his goal is to deliver the very best ‘Greek sailing experience' to all visitors. Everyone who sails with him is in his polite, cheerful and competent hands. For Akis, being a skipper with his guests means to take his companions to the best shores to swim or fish or dive in hidden shores, show them around the islands, have fun in taverns and night-clubs, or BBQ watching the sunset from the clean sand.
He is also an energetic environmental activist!

Dimitris Paparis was born in Athens in 1959, is married with two daughters. He has been sailing in the blue Aegean waters since he was eight years old.
