Dear Captain Thomas, Dear Salty Dog skipper,

It`s now time to say goodbye :(

After ten days together with you celebrating ur honeymoon in the Cyclades, we`ve to say there`s no better place, better environment, better atmosphere than on Idylle1 (the salty dog sails). Forget the Maldives, Mauritius, Seychelles... Thomas and his boat is much better. The Idylle 1 is the best honeymoon suite on earth.

We had an unforgettable time, saw the best places, and Thomas made everthing possible.

Thanks Thomas and see you in Asia soon. We also have nice waters, bays and sometimes wind.

Bonnie (Hong Kong), Marc (Germany)

Dear Captain Thomas,

Thank you for a dream vacation. Our family loved sailing around the Cyclades with you. The itinerary was very flexible and fun. The islands are beautiful. Any future sailing we do in Greece we will be sure to call you. Thanks again for all your recommendations and a great adventure.

Tameria Wheeler, Alamo, California, USA

Captain Thomas,

Thank you for a once in a lifetime experience sailing around the Cyclades. Your wealth of knowledge made our adventures that much more fun. I appreciate the time you took to teach me the basics of sailing and then giving me the chance to be behind the wheel was WILD! And of course the night cap on a pirate ship was one of a kind... Hope to come back again on another excursion...

Jennifer Wheeler, Old Saybrook, Connecticut, USA

“I can`t really share with how Thomas creates the perfect balance between giving you a sense of security, that all is taken care of, and wild abandon that this vacation and the Aegean are yours to command. He is always there but never a hindrance or obstacle, more of an old friend. He is very intelligent, experienced and a hell of a good time. ...We were the lucky few that got a dream vacation by just pointing and clicking. You should count yourself lucky as well to have found Thomas. : I have traveled alot over the last 10 years, I work for Museums all around the world and try to fit in a vacation where ever I travel to. The 10 days my husband and myself spent with Thomas on his boat in the Aegean, top the list. He will make sure you see the real Greece instead of the ultra touristic places, Thomas is the man. I wouldn`t recommend anyone else. We loved it!

“The problem with lots of charters in the islands is that you get skippers that may know how to sail a yacht but don`t really give you the space and chance to do what you like, ie they are a little bit like well dressed butlers and you are just along for the ride. If you`re looking for the impeccably dressed but boring skipper, don`t go with Thomas. :-) If on the other hand, you`re looking for someone who knows the islands, will make sure you go to the right places, will make sure you ...We had zero problems and the boat is just great. We were 5 or 6 on the boat at different times and things were fine. It`s Thomas` boat and he takes really good care of it. It`s clean and easy to just drift away in. Thomas is a fantastic sailor who knows the Mediterranean cold. I think he`s been sailing for 20 years or more. His life is the sea or the sea is his life or whatever. Thomas is also a great skipper and knows how to put people at their ease.”
Greg Galanos, San Francisco/ USA

“We went on a 10-day cruise with Thomas and 2 other couples this past October and had a FANTASTIC time (even though we didn`t know the other 4 people.) Thomas is a very competent, friendly, entertaining, accomodating and safety conscious captain, he knows the islands inside and out, his boat is very well-maintained and comfortable, and we would sail with him again in a heartbeat. Actually, we`re trying to figure out how soon we can get back down there again.”
Meredith & Scott, Heidelberg/ Germany

“The captain was knowledgeable, accommodating and helpful. The boat was sturdy and a pleasure to sail. The itinerary was perfect – a good mix of touristed ‘must see’ villages and remote beaches.”
Laura Cumming, USA.
