Corinth Canal & Aegean Delivery Flotilla

2 for 1 Explorer Delivery Flotilla: 30 October - 13 November 2021

This is a great chance to end the season, with a fantastic 2 week voyage starting from the iconic Corinth canal and back to Athens.

The journey  starts with a tick on the bucket list – the iconic Corinth Canal, on our way to Aegina in the Saronic Gulf. Onwards via Poros and Ermioni, we head to the Argolic Gulf and the town of Monemvasia to the south. Its time now to start heading east, and after visiting Porto Heli, we stop at one of the jewels of the Peloponnese, Hydra.

Our advice is a great meal, a cold beer and an early night, ready for a cracking open-water sail east to the Cycladic island of Kithnos. We make two stops here before heading north to Kea, where we slow things down, time to relax and chill before heading across to Lavrion.

Saturday 30 October

Boarding in Corinth, the historical ancient city.

Sunday 31 October

Sail to AEGINA (28 nm) Aegina is your destination today. The island is famed for its pistachios. Fish lovers should head to the tiny tavernas tucked inside the fish market.

Monday 1 November

POROS (16 nm) Sailing south into the Saronic gulf, to Poros, where you will find a yachting town boasting lots of charm and character. There`s a lively waterfront & a maze of narrow streets to explore.

Tuesday 2 November

ERMIONI (22 nm) Watch the sun go down from one of the wonderful beachside tavernas.

Wednesday 3 November

KIPARISSI (30 nm) This village has featured in the book "The most beautiful villages of Greece". You`ll get the chance to see why.

Thursday 4 November

MONEMVASIA (20 nm) Monemvasia, an ancient island fortress, is the only castle in Europe to have been continually habited. Strolling through the cobbled narrow alleys inside the battlements, and browsing the high quality gift shops, is a memorable way to spend the evening.

Friday 5 November LEONIDIO / PLAKA (33 nm) on the Peloponnese coast. Pick from the rival fish tavernas in the harbour. Both are the best, apparently!
Saturday 6 November PORTO HELI (15 nm) Porto Heli is a fantastic bay, forming a safe natural harbour.
Sunday 7 November HYDRA (19 nm) Donkeys are the only traffic on this island, where both Leonard Cohen and Edith Piaf had houses, back in the day.
Monday 8 November KITHNOS, LOUTRA (44 nm) An early start and hopefully a cracking sail, heading east, the next island destination is Kithnos
Tuesday 9 November KITHNOS, LOUTRA (12 nm)  After a long sail yesterday, a short sail round to the harbour of Loutra (hot springs) and perhaps a dip there in the warm waters that run into the sea. Dinner at one of the delightful seaside tavernas.
Wednesday 10 November KEA KORISSIA (22 nm) North to the island of Kea in the northern Cyclades. A cool beer in Korissia and some herby wood toasted bread and anchovies for starters...
Thursday 11 November KEA VORAKI (1 nm) Relax after some busy days on the water.
Friday 12 November LAVRION (16 nm) Back to our winter base at the rejuvenated town of Lavrion. For those that like seafood, a farewell dinner in one of the tavernas near the fish market is a treat.
Saturday 13 November Disembark in the morning in Lavrion.
