The captain is flexible and can start from a variety of locations and on any day of the week, subject to availability and previous bookings.
S/Y "IDYLLE 1" is a BENETEAU 15.50,
an offshore cruiser, designed by naval architect GERMAN FRERS and
built for long passages with comfort and ease in mind. Her long keel
and hull with easily driven lines, combined with a powerful cutter/sloop
rig, perform well in all conditions, maintaining an outstanding 8-9
knots average under sail or power. Her smooth motion and "little
ship" character is enjoyed by the pure sailing fans and the leisurely
laid back guests alike.
CREW / Captain - Skipper
Skipper Thomas Vassilacos has been sailing professionally in Greece
and Turkey for more than 20 years. Before that time, he lived in London
for 10 years, studied filming and made sailing documentaries in the
Mediterranean and the North Sea. Now he is occasionally involved in
media advertising projects with S/Y IDYLLE 1.
He is a RYA (Royal Yachting Association) Ocean Yachtmaster and has
a NOV Diploma (Offshore Nautical Club), a HCG (Hellenic Coast Guard)
SpeedBoat License, as well as a LFS (London Film School) Diploma.
DECK
On the deck there are large clear sunbathing areas. The teak slatted
cockpit carries a big table with icebox for dinners or drinks al fresco.
An opening transom has a built-in swim platform & ladder, for
easy access to and from the sea. S sprayhood, a bimini and a sun awning
offer complete protection while sailing or laying at anchor.
SALOON MAIN CABIN
The main cabin consists of a lounge area with a U shaped settee
and a bench around a large table. A bar with bottle and glass storage.
Fully equipped galley with a voluminous refrigerator and ample space
for provisions. The navigation station around a full size chart
table with all the electronic equipment: Speed-Depth-Wind instruments,
VHF, Autopilot, GPS Chartplotter, Navtex, Cellphones, PC Laptop,
as well as stereo radio-cassette-CD player & colour TV.
GUEST CABINS - ACCOMMODATION
Up to eight guests in 4 large double cabins, all with their own private
WC/shower en-suite.
For BEST VALUE: Up to 11 guests, with the use of the main cabin and
the deck.
CREW QUARTERS
The crew cabin and WC/shower are forward with a private entrance from
the deck.
VENTILATION
20 opening hatches and portholes, a large skylight over the main cabin,
two side windows and
four vents with air scoops, ensure an abundance of light and excellent
ventilation throughout the boat.
ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT
Autopilot, GPS, Spinnaker - Gennaker, Outboard for the dinghy plus
snorkeling gear, end cleaning and linen laundry.
No Additional Delivery Charges for One-Way Trips. 10 day trips &
Start / End any day of the week possible. Available Start / End of
cruise at any port or island. Please enquire.
Hostess available - optional.
Sailing courses and lessons, windsurf activities, snorkelling, diving
