Letter and photos of the Year 2014

Dear Francesca,

You have heard correctly! We had SUCH a wonderful time. Please let us know if your company is represented on such sites as Trip Advisor, Facebook, etc., as we would be happy to give you positive reviews in multiple places. You may use the following quote in any materials, as you see fit.

"I will do my best to give you a review of our visit, though I am afraid that my words will fail. It was absolutely perfect, magical and enriching from beginning to end.

As we started to explore the idea of chartering for the very first time, Francesca was more than patient and thorough in answering our many questions. We couldn't have asked for friendlier service, even before we arrived.

On the day of our embarkation, we walked toward the end of the dock and immediately recognized our captain and hostess, Dimitri and Matina, thanks to the photos that were sent to us in advance. They welcomed us aboard and we set about planning our one-week sail. The boat was clean, provisioned and welcoming. We thought that we would head to the Cyclades, but Dimitri explained how our timeframe might be better enjoyed in the Argo-Saronic Islands. He assured us that he would head in the direction we preferred, and upon reflection, we agreed that the Argo-Saronic would be best suited for our visit.

As we sailed toward Aigena on the first night, a rainbow formed over the Acropolis behind us, the sun set in front of us surrounded by thunderclouds with bolts of lightning, the moon rose over our left shoulder and a school of dolphins frolicked near the boat. When the sun set, we suddenly saw dynamic lights of fireworks from an island celebration in the distance. I won't pretend that this was the work of our charter company, but it is a reflection of the magnificent beauty available in Greece. It was a moment I hope to never forget.

We described a few things that we liked to do and eat. From there, our crew met every need. We visited small and large theatres, historical caves, lovely towns and secluded swimming spots. Matina created delicious, comforting Greek dishes. She and Dimitri made every effort to please us, even without us asking. They were historians, philosophers, naturalists, and now friends. They were generous, gentle, knowledgeable, competent and friendly.

We wouldn't change a minute of our adventure, and we would highly recommend this experience.

I hope that we get to visit with you again in the future. If Mariana didn't tell you, we also praised you when we arrived and said how well you answered our questions during booking. I thought you did an exceptional job.

Our best to you!
