Comments from clients who sailed with us in 2008"Thank you for everything - we had an excellent time - we'll definitely recomend you to anyone thinking of sailing around this area." Mr Clinton L from Australia and family chartered s/y Spanaki, Bavaria 41 (2003) from Athens, 10 May - 17 May 2008. We had a wonderful time aboard S/Y Oto 2. We found the boat to be well equipped and well prepared. It was easy to sail and we felt at home very quickly. The owners handover was very thorough and we had no issues or further queries during the week. As we received the boat slightly earlier on the Saturday, we set off for Aegina and then visited Poros, Hydra, Spetsai, Ermioni, then back to Poros and finally Kalamaki. We found the route to be perfect for our first sail in the Aegean and enjoyed the differences in the Islands. Along the way other sailors lent a hand when we moored and the locals were very friendly and helpful. The overall experience was excellent. Kate James and friends from UK chartered s/y
OTO 2, Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 37.1, from Athens around the islands
of the Saronic Gulf, on a bareboat charter between 17 - 24 May 2008. "Very happy with equipment and yacht specification. Excellent, friendly and efficient (service)." Feedback form: - all excellent. Suggestions: 'Use
only plastic cups and not glass.' "Hello dear Francesca, Feedback forms: 'All were marvellous - kind, resepectful and gentleman, very sweet and excellent cooker. We were very lucky to find Takis and Lenina as our skipper and hostess both were really nice, kind and generous with the family. Francesca was excellent, just if you can give all the information of where to go or talk one week before arrival" Recommendations: more cushions and snorkeling equipment. Jose SC from Mexico and USA and family chartered s/y Okkiroi, Athena 44 from Syros - Syros, with skipper and hostess, from 21 - 28 June 2008. Hello Francesca Thank you for you email. Yes, we had a really good time and all my crew enjoyed the experience despite the very strong winds for most of the two weeks. It certainly made for some good sailing! The yacht was fine. One or two pieces of equipment were
a little bit worn and caused us minor trouble, eg the jib furling cleat
which we needed most of the time; the winch handles were a bit worn; and
the dinghy had no bungs for the first week so we were not able to use
it. But Nikos sorted that out Thank you for arranging everything. If we sail in Greece again I will certainly let you know. If I have some good pictures, I will send them through. Good luck for the rest of the season. Best wishes Peter Peter from South Africa chartered s/y Ioli, a Bavaria 44, from Athens for 2 weeks, June and July 2008 Feedback forms: all categories - excellent (sails - good) Recommendations:

He is very friendly and knowledgeable. Thanks again, Verity Verity W from Ireland chartered s/y Alba IV-WaveDancer with captain Marcos, from Mykonos to Santorini, from 27 September - 4 October. Hi Francesca, Ian S from UK chartered s/y Athos, a Nautitech 47 catamaran (2008) from Athens for 2 weeks in July. Hi Francesca, Sorry to be so slow in responding still digging out from two weeks out of the office! The sailing charter was excellent, and the whole family had a great time. We made it clear early on to Stamatis that we were interested in tipping the balance in favor of more time sailing and less sightseeing on the islands, and he accommodated that desire well. The itinerary worked out well for us we enjoyed the smaller more remote islands werent as enamored with Mykinos or Ios; which were too party-oriented for our collective tastes. The boat was great just the right size for us. Tan was a gracious hostess, and the Thai food was delicious and a nice switch from doing taverna food every night. Probably our only food disappointment (clearly no fault of Stamatis and Tan) was that we expected to be able to dine on lots of fresh fish when we were ashore for meals and found it to be nearly universally unavailable. Stamatis told us that this was because the high winds were keeping the fisherman from getting out, and what little catch was coming in was being reserved in advance of the dinner hour by folks more attuned to the situation. I cant think of much to offer in the way of suggested improvements.
We have not yet sorted through our pile of photos from the trip, but will endeavor to send a couple along once we do.
Best regards, Dave Dave P from USA and family chartered s/y Hocux Pocux with crew Stamatis and Tan, from Mykonos to Santorini in June 2008. Dear Francesca, Just a note to say that we very much enjoyed our 10 days sailing. Andre was a great skipper and did everything possible to make it a memorable holiday. Best regards, John G. John and family from UK/France chartered s/y Lemanja, Sun Odyssey 43 with skipper/owner Andre Leroy, from Athens, from 19 - 29 July 2008. Hello Francesca
Sorry for the delay in replying, due to the fact we have been out of the country.
We all had a very enjoyable time on Kirki including Pauls 80 year old mother. I recall we did complete a form for the Odyssey office, so hopefully they have forwarded it to you.
Although we took photographs, they were really just of the people and unfortunately no good shots of Kirki sorry.
Thanks again. Warm regards

Francesca, Jean-Hubert from France joined the Aegean Adventure Cruise for 2 weeks from Athens in August 2008. Dear Francesca We had a great time in the Cyclades, thanks again for all your efforts and the excellent services of (base reps). Regards, Lukas from Switzerland chartered s/y Tina, Elan 40, from Paros - Paros, for 2 weeks in September. s/y Nicholas, Bavaria 33 Cruiser Dear Francesca, thank you for you interest. Thank you very much for your help and information, you
are very helpful as well. Best regards, Katerina and friends (Czech Republic) chartered s/y Nemesis, Oceanis 411, from Athens for one week in September. *(Note from Francesca: As I pointed out to Katerina, with the exception of one or two exclusive luxury models / crewed yachts over 65 feet, I have not heard of any standard bareboat charter yachts that have electric sails! Maybe things are different in Czech Republic.) Hi Francesca, Thanks for your interest. We didnt mind the weather, we were on holiday. We had a great time, the boat was fine, very clean and serviceable. The only frustration was that despite letting Odyssey know we would arrive at around 2pm a couple of weeks in advance, the boat wasnt ready until 6:30pm despite all the paper work being done as soon as we arrived. I know that the official time 5pm which would have been fine but we were starting to get a little frustrated when we couldnt leave until after dark nearly 5 hours after we arrived at the marina.*
Thanks for all your help in organising the charter.
Best Regards
Mark Mark S, (UK) and family chartered s/y Atena, Elan
45 from Athens, 20 - 27 September. Hi Francesca,
We all had an absolutely great time so thank you! Although I had sailed in other parts of Greece this was my first visit to the Sporades so it was good research as well as fun.
The handover at Volos was quick and efficient and I also thought that Antonis was very helpful and friendly so no problems there. We definitely paid the 100 euros cleaning charge so I hope there is no difficulty with that.
The yacht was absolutely fine. Ocean Blue has been well used over the years and shows it but that said we all felt she was well-equipped and in fair condition and with a few very minor exceptions everything worked. It was certainly presented in a clean condition internally particularly the cabins and heads and we were pleased about that. The only issue that detracted a little was an apparent freshwater leak somewhere in the port forward cabin that caused the shower sump to slowly fill up and left the whole cabin with a sour, musty smell. The crew using it only mentioned it to me on the Thursday night so I had no time to investigate. I gave Antonis a list of the defects including that one.
Overall we were very happy with all aspects of the charter so thank you again and please pass this on to the owner.
Thank you again for arranging this successful charter. We will certainly want to charter from you again ourselves.
Kind Regards,
Dave and Sue, Elite Sailing Dave A (UK) chartered s/y Ocean Blue, an Ocean Star 495 from Volos - Volos, 4 - 11 October.
