This route brings you close to nature and an area steeped in history
and legend. Idyllic sailing with predictable steady breezes with plenty
of secluded anchorages and swimming spots. From the enchanting island
of Poros, some favourite islands to visit include Hydra, Spetses,
Perdika as well as Plaka and the ancient theatre of Epidavros.

B) SKIATHOS AND THE SPORADES ISLANDS FLOTILLA. Departures from
Skiathos. Package with or without flights from UK.
A collection of beautiful and relatively unspoilt islands lying
off the coast of Thessaly and the Pelion peninsula, with the
large island of Evia lying to the south west, the Northern Sporades
are an absolute ‘must see’ for lovers of Greece and
a ‘must do’ for more experienced sailors. The islands are
renowned for their superb sandy beaches, scenic pinewooded hills,
pretty towns and abundant sea life. A national sea park has been established
east of Alonissos.
This wonderful sailing area will suit more experienced crews who relish
the challenge of some fresh sailing winds and some quieter, off the
beaten track islands to explore.

 No
matter which sailing area you choose you will share experiences of
a lifetime. Your average daily sail of 15 - 20 miles gives
you enough time to swim, snorkel, visit remote bays, or spend more
time at your destination. We always keep in mind that the weather
runs the itinerary and sometimes your leaders might have to
change the route to ensure safety.

SERVICE
On the lead yacht there is your flotilla leader who organises regular
meetings for all skippers. He or she will inform you about the weather
conditions, the route, possible lunchtime anchorages and the techniques
of Mediterranean mooring. If you forget anything later, you can still
check with your flotilla leader on the VHF. Once you arrive at the
meeting point your lead crew will help you to moor and secure a safe
spot in your new anchorage. They are your link with local people and
facilities and attractions on shore. You can get information about
sightseeing, shopping, and nice restaurants. Your fleet leader feels
responsible for your enjoyment of the holiday and the smooth running
of the flotilla.
EXPERIENCE
For flotilla charters, there should usually be at least one person
certified with an internationally recognised skipper's licence on
board (RYA Day Skipper, ICC or equivalent), and at least one qualified
crew member (RYA Competent Crew), but if no documents are available
for the co-skipper, it is usually possible for him/her to sign a declaration
that he/she has previous experience. Alternatively a skipper can be
hired for a fee and sailing instruction can be offered while on board.
In some cases it is possible to charter a yacht without formal qualifications
if a comprehensive sailing resume is provided demonstrating the skipper's
experience, perhaps combined with a demonstration of competence requested
during check in.
Each sailing area also has its own RYA sailing school, bareboat charters
and cruises. Please enquire.

All the yachts are in excellent condition and fulfill all the Greek
government safety regulations.
