Sporades islands - Skiathos Sailing school
RYA instructor: Stewart Turner
Courses
available (May - September)
Five day practical courses are usually held in Skiathos from Friday
- Wednesdays, with 2 extra days spent on the yacht for accommodation.
Flights from the UK usually arrive/leave on Fridays so you will be
able to settle into the yacht, meet your instructor and other students,
and spend an enjoyable first evening on Skiathos island getting a
feel for the place. The course begins on Saturday morning, and over
the next five days you will sail to nearby islands and bays, learning
everything you need to know according to the level you are training
for. The yacht will return to Skiathos on Wednesday evening and you
have two extra days to explore the island, go to the beaches, or simply
relax. In the event that bad weather (unlikely) prevents you from
sailing for any of the course days, the two additional days on board
offer the opportunity to make it up. Alternatively, they can be used
for theoretical / shore-based study where appropriate.
