PackagesWe always have a number of special cruises, courses and packages available - please contact us for current prices and availability. Competent Crew/Day Skipper 2-week PackageWe introduced this scheme last year and it has proven to be our most popular invention yet! Come to us for two weeks (all courses start on Tuesdays) and spend your first five days completing the Competent Crew syllabus. Then, spend two days in the marina doing navigation excercises before setting sail again for a further five days to complete the Day Skipper (non-tidal) syllabus. Finish off with a couple of days enjoying the beaches on Corfu. Accomodation is provided, on a school yacht, for your entire stay. Food is also provided when we are at sea. Coastal Skipper, Radio and First AidA package designed for those wishing to complete the Coastal Skipper (non-tidal) syllabus. You arrive on Saturday. On Sunday you complete the SRC (radio) course and licence exam. On the Monday the First Aid course before setting off the next day for the five day intensive Coastal Skipper course. Accomodation is provided, on a school yacht, for your entire stay. Food is also provided when we are at sea. Ocean DeliveryWe have a new yacht joining our fleet for 2007. She will be delivered from the Algarve (Portugal) to Corfu over a six week period and arriving early May 2007. We are able to offer a very limited number of places for those wishing to gain valuable sea miles. The yacht will be skippered by a Yachtmaster Instructor. Call to discuss. |
School /Charter PackageA two week package which combines your first week completing the Day Skipper course onboard a school yacht with a second week on your own bareboat charter yacht. Please call for pricing as we have a number of different yachts available dependent on the size of your group.
School/Flotilla PackageThe same format as above except you can complete either Competent Crew or Day Skipper the first week and then join one a flotilla for the second week. We have established links with many of the best flotilla companies in our area (we do the training for many of their staff) and feel that this is a sound next step for many of our clients.

For Coastal Skipper & Yachtmaster ExaminationsIt is a RYA requirement that all candidates seeking to be awarded Coastal Skipper (tidal) and Yachtmaster certificates of competence are examined by an external RYA Examiner. As the Examiner will carry out the assessment onboard a school yacht the same elements are included in the prices quoted. The fees for the Examiner will be split between the number of candidates.
Personal electronics
The school yacht has a tape player so feel free to bring your favourite music with you. Please bring a cigarette lighter charge lead with you if you intend to use your mobile phone. However, we do ask that phones are switched off during tuition sessions. There are no facilities for charging personal computers onboard and we do not recommend you bring them as they are easily damaged at sea. Many of the ports we stop at have internet cafes at which you can check your email. There are no facilities for electric shavers onboard.Meals & domestic duties
The ingredients for breakfast and snack lunches will be provided onboard the yacht and are included in the course price. On each 5-day course, the ingredients for 3 evening meals will be provided (these are the evenings we anticipate conducting night sailing or passage making exercises) and are included in the course price. Part of what we teach is how to live onboard and maintain a yacht. This involves taking your turn in the galley and undertaking routine maintenance and housekeeping duties. All students will be expected to participate.Personal safety
The school yacht you will be using is safety coded by both the RYA/MCA (as a commercial sail training vessel) and the Hellenic authorities. It has all of the safety equipment necessary and is regularly surveyed. It is not necessary to bring your own personal safety equipment. At the end of your course
At the conclusion of your course your Instructor will carry out individual de-briefs with each student. These will identify any aspects of the syllabus that they feel you need to work on and help define the best way to progress your yachting activities. Students are expected to help with the unloading and cleaning of the yacht at the end of their course. Please return all bedding, towels and waterproofs to the store so that they can be prepared for the next group. Certificates will be awarded in Corfu to all successful candidates with the exception of the Coastal Skipper (tidal), Yachtmaster and ICC courses which are issued by the RYA in the UK. This normally takes approx. 10 days.
