BERTH CHARTERS in GREECE
By booking only your berth on a sailing yacht, you get to see more of
Greece in the most cost efficient way. If you are travelling alone or
in small groups this is a great way to enjoy a skippered sailing vacation
without the cost.
LIFE ON BOARD
No sailing experience is required. Each person will actively participate
in sailing and daily tasks (washing up, preparing meals and drinks,
tidying up etc ...) under the supervision of the skipper. While
enjoying the sea and the sun you can also be involved in everyday
life on board, including all tasks as a full crewmember up to navigating
the yacht itself if you want to.
ITINERARIES
Cabin cruise routes may be modified according to the crew's wishes
or the prevailing weather conditions. The Aegean Sea offers a wonderful
variety of islands and anchorages, each one unique, from secluded
bays to thriving waterfronts.
SKIPPERS
Our skippers have good knowledge of the Greek Islands and
can be excellent companions and guides, taking you to the best tavernas
in the evenings and pointing out interesting sites along the way.
(That said, however, they are not trained historians, archaeologists
or gastronomists and can only offer up as much information as they
possess). Skippers, like guests, come from a variety of countries
and we try to match skippers with the nationalities of the guests
on board wherever possible. Finally, the skipper is responsible
for the safety of the boat and crew and it is therefore his responsibility
to decide on any changes to the itinerary if the weather conditions
deteriorate.

WEATHER CONDITIONS
April/May/Mid-June:
Sunny spring weather with moderate winds for more easier sailing.
The sea starts to warm up from April and is perfect for a fresh
morning dip!
Mid-June/July/August:
Warm and dry. Good sailing weather thanks to the prevailing 'Meltemi'
a strong challenging north wind. Beautiful evenings watching the
superb sunsets from remote anchorages. July and August in particular
can get very busy.
September/October:
Autumn is a very pleasant season to sail. Especially for those who
do not enjoy the summer heat so much. The winds become more moderate.
A rest- and peaceful time. The days become shorter with even more
enchanting sunsets. The sea, which has been warming up the whole
summer, is ideal for swimming. This is an excellent period for sailing.
